Game designer Owen K.C. Stephens has been fighting cancer for 17 months. The bills are neverending. A new round come due recently. A bundle is being put together as another way to try to help him cover these costs.
If you’ve played an RPG in the last little while (as in ‘in the last twenty years or so’), odds are quite good you’ve seen, read, and enjoyed something Owen has worked on. As this bundle is up at DriveThruRPG, odds are even higher.
Owen is a good friend to many creators and publishers across the industry (look at the list below!). We want to help him, but there’s a limit to what we can do medically (nobody’s the right class and level to cast remove disease). Despite having gone through chemotherapy and radiation treatment, there are a lot of medical procedures and events to follow, and they’re all expensive. This bundle aims to help reduce Owen’s financial burdens.

We learned this week: OWEN HAS BEEN VICTORIOUS! THE HATEFLESH BLOB IS DEAD.
It tried to kill Owen, it’s now nothing but scar tissue, and Owen is the one still standing.
Owen beat the cancer, but he has a long way to go and still needs help.
