… but I need to redefine ‘victory’.
I’m not going to finish the 2025 A-Z Blog Challenge in April. I back-dated the post so it lines up with the calendar… but today is April 27 and I am ten days behind. I’m writing ‘N’ and the schedule calls for ‘X’ tomorrow.
Normally I go into the A-Z Blog Challenge with a strong idea what I’m going to write about. Most often I’ll have a framework or strategy for the posts, and I just need to get them done.
The material I’m working on doesn’t fit that pattern. This time, I abandoned the original plan in favor of something I’ve wanted for years. I had hoped to capture my thoughts and capture them to the A-Z posts… but each one is a lot of work. Some of these posts take hours to put together, because of the code I wrote to generate the images. Later this code will save me a lot of time, but writing it is time-consuming.
Add to that, I had planned to take a couple weeks off work this month and that did not manifest.
So.
Not going to finish the A-Z Blog Challenge in April this year. I’m not accepting this as failure. I’m not going to hit an arbitrary dealing, it’s true. But I’m happy with what I’ve done so far, and where this is going. I’m just not going to finish on the original schedule.
I am going to continue, though.
