Truly, I can’t imagine this would be even a mild surprise to anyone that I’m a nerd at times. But this goes a little beyond the norm, even for me.
I just spent that last few hours drafting — rough cut, first draft — documentation of my XML Workflow.
Don’t get me wrong, it was long overdue, but the reason I chose to do this now instead of something more immediately useful was unusually nerdish, even for me.
I looked at my publishing backlog and saw my that of the 225 entries, 99 were complete.

I immediately went to a task I knew I had in the backlog — this bit of documentation — and did that one because I was confident I wouldn’t add any more items to the backlog until it was done.

Why does it matter? Because 100/225 = (10/15)^2.
That’s it. It’s the square of 2/3.
And it made me so happy to hit this strangely satisfying number.
Bravo! It’s exactly these sorts of things that make me happy too
